Mobile payments and banking services are very secure, especially with Paytm, as we use world-class encryption to keep your data safe. However, your behaviour and actions while using your account may be more critical than the method of access. In many ways, mobile payments and banking services are safer than carrying a physical wallet and cash to the bank. However, it's important to remember that fraudsters may still be able to get enough information to access your accounts from a variety of sources. These three short and practical security tips below will help you stay safe while using your favourite Paytm wallet, Paytm Payments Bank account, Paytm Payments Bank debit card and Paytm BHIM UPI:

**Paytm Wallet:**

- Always verify and install the official Paytm app from Google Play Store and Apple Store.

- Add your email and verify it to be notified of any unusual or unauthorised behaviour on your account.

- If you accidentally lose or misplace your mobile phone, immediately block the SIM card and log out of your account from the network side.

**Paytm Payment Bank: **

- Check all emails and transaction alerts sent by official banks to identify unauthorised transactions.

- Do not transfer funds without verifying the identity of the recipient. Your transaction cannot be reversed.

- Never share your Paytm Payments Bank PIN, password, OTP and M-PIN with anyone.

**Paytm Payments Bank Debit Card:**

- Always make purchases or payments through trusted or well-known websites. Avoid clicking on links in your mailbox.

- Do not provide your sensitive account information such as Paytm digital RuPay card number, expiry date, CVV value, etc. to anyone, even if they claim to be a Paytm employee.

- Never share the OTP with anyone, the OTP is a temporary password that needs to be kept secret just like the mPIN.

**Paytm BHIM UPI:**

- Always validate the mobile money identifier and mobile phone number.

- Make sure you change your PIN code regularly.

- Note the incoming USSD request.
