While serious incidents and criminal activities involving our accounts represent a tiny percentage compared to the total digital financial transaction volume, it remains critical to provide law enforcement with comprehensive knowledge and sensitivity, as well as the tools and assistance that Paytm Payments Bank can provide in investigative efforts.

Taking a proactive approach through an outreach programme, our Law Enforcement Operations team is fully committed to providing training and education to law enforcement officers to help them navigate the ever-changing landscape of digital transactions in their cities and jurisdictions. Over the past few quarters, our training sessions have sensitised and sensitised more than 2,000 law enforcement officers, we have responded to more than 70,000 law enforcement data requests, and we have worked closely with law enforcement agencies such as ED, MHA, SFIO, and multiple cybercrime police stations in India to assist them with their cybercrime investigations.

The main goal is to empower attending law enforcement officers to effectively interact with our LERT department, enabling them to serve legal documents, handle urgent requests or make enquiries. Additionally, the presentation will explore the various tactics that criminal entities may attempt to integrate with our digital platforms or fraud schemes. Finally, investigative agencies will learn what specific data types to include in their enquiries and legal proceedings to best support their ongoing investigations.
