We are the largest acquiring bank on the UPI platform. With our technology-focused service solutions, we have achieved UPI penetration across the country. We became the platform of choice for most of the UPI transactions in India, especially in the area of UPI Person-to-Merchant (P2M) payments, where we play a significant role in driving change in the Indian banking sector. As a payee payment service provider (Payee PSP), we recorded 286.853 crore transactions in October 2023 and as a payer payment service provider (Payer PSP), 143.934 crore transactions during the same period. Our merchant acquiring model makes us the market leader in UPI person-to-merchant transactions.

While being the largest acquiring bank on the UPI platform, we also maintained our position as a top beneficiary bank for almost two consecutive years. As the leading UPI beneficiary bank, we recorded 270,907 million transactions in October 2023; while, as one of the leading UPI remittance banks in the country, we also recorded 44,145 million transactions. With the recently announced Prepaid Payment Instruments (PPIs)/Wallet Interconnect, UPI payments will get a further boost and millions of users of Paytm wallet will be able to make payments at all merchants through UPI. We are also the first payment bank to launch UPI Lite and support UPI transactions through RuPay credit cards, providing users with a seamless and extremely fast payment experience.

We have the lowest technical rejection rate among all beneficiary and remittance UPI banks, making our platform an important and trusted choice for merchants and users to access payments and financial services.
