1. What is FASTag?

FASTag is a simple and reusable tag based on Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology to be affixed on the windscreen of the vehicle. Each tag is associated with a pre-paid wallet for instant and automatic deduction of toll charges.Paytm Payments Bank has partnered with the National Highway Authority (NHAI) as part of the National Electronic Toll Collection (NETC) scheme to allow users to pass through motorway toll plazas easily using the Paytm FASTag.

2. What are the fines for not using FASTag at toll booths?

Vehicles not using FASTag will have to pay double toll at NH toll plazas from 15 December 2019, as per instructions from the Government of India.

Once you have received your FASTag, peel off the adhesive strip on the back and attach it to the top centre of the vehicle's interior windscreen, behind the rear-view mirror.
