At a recent event organised by CSC in New Delhi, hosted by the Hon'ble Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad himself, the PayU team demonstrated how village entrepreneurs can receive online payments through their skilful tools such as email and SMS.

More than 350 village entrepreneurs from all over India participated in the event. Collecting money on time has been one of the biggest problems faced by village entrepreneurs.

Most rural entrepreneurs are adopting new business tools such as Facebook, email and smartphones.

The ease of collecting payments through email invoices and SMS invoices in the PayU dashboard has incentivised village entrepreneurs, whose businesses can grow faster, while providing customers with a more convenient way to pay.
