UPI Payments: India connects BRICS overseas payment system

The news that India is about to realise its Unified Payments Interface (UPI) connectivity with Malaysia's PayNet system was announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi after a meeting with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.

Speaking at a joint press conference in the capital New Delhi, Modi said, "We will endeavour to integrate India's UPI with Malaysia's PayNet."

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi revealed that India plans to synchronise its Unified Payments Interface (UPI) with Malaysia's PayNet system with Malaysian Prime Minister Ibrahim after a fruitful dialogue.

In addition, this payment system is also ready to be interconnected with the systems used in the BRICS countries.
